Afandou beach is located 18 kilometers southeastern from the City of Rhodes. It consists of both sand and pebbles and though it’s less crowded than lots of beaches in the island, it still offers lots of facilities such as the ability to rent umbrellas or sun-beds, as well as lodging facilities including hotels, studios and rooms to let. If you don’t wish to rent a car or bike to get there you can always use the public transportation to reach the abruptly deepening sea of Afandou. Other attractions of the area include the golf course located on the coast road.
