Tinos is known as the island of Virgin Mary and has always been famous for its rich natural landscapes. Hora is the capital and main harbour of Tinos. The Church of the Pangaea (Evangelismos Theotokou) overlooks the town and is where the miracle-working icon of the Virgin Mary (at the Church of Virgin Mary) resides. Dyo Horia is a traditional village, which is built amphitheatrically on the slopes of Mount Exobourgo.
On the little square of the village are some beautiful cave-fountains.

Falatados is a productive village with many livestock breeders. Worth seeing are the working winepresses and raki-stills as well as the Folklore Museum, the magnificent Cycladic Megalohari (Great Grace) Square and the beautiful marble church of Saint John.
 
Kardiani is a beautiful, picturesque village and the greenest of all of the others here on Tinos. It is built on the slopes of Mount Pateles and boasts of plane and olive trees, narrow, stone paved alleyways, wonderful arches and magnificent whitewashed old houses with flat roofs, colourful windows and doors and courtyards and balconies full of bright flowers.

Pyrgos is one of the largest and most beautiful villages of Tinos and one of the most picturesque villages of the Cyclades. It is built in the heart of a lush, green environment. It boasts of marble sculpture with many marble and wood carving workshops and a School of Fine Arts.

Tripotamos is found on the foothills of Mount Exobourgo and is one of the oldest villages of the island. It is built between three rivers and is full of arches, whitewashed steps, arcades and narrow alleys. Worth seeing is The Church of Eisodeion Theotokou (The Presentation of the Virgin) decorated with fine marble works of art.

Volax is a village located in a unique and strange site full of huge red granite boulders formations of different shapes. The basket weaving workshops can be visited and the works therein can be bought. The old churches are also very interesting to visit.

Ysternia is a little village with marble-paved lanes, two story houses that have the colour of stone and clay as well as fine marble lintels and picturesque arches shadowing the narrow alleys. It is built amphitheatrically on a beautiful natural site, the slopes of Mount Meroviglia. You can visit the Museum of Ysternian Artists here. Walk down the beautiful old marble-paved road and you will come upon Ysternia Bay with its wonderful sandy beach.
