Kallithea is located in the northeastern coast of Rhodes island, less than 10 kilometers from the capital. Its beach is mostly known for the hot medicinal springs flowing on its ground. The palm and pine trees of the beach create a unique exotic atmosphere. Other attractions of the location include the Italian baths that are no longer operating, however still worth a visit due to the sights high architectural aesthetics. Kallithea’s water is rather deep and that’s the reason why people who enjoy scuba diving tend to prefer it over other beaches of the island. You can rent the relative equipment on the spot or just dive from the rocks surrounding the beach. There are also sun-beds and umbrellas available for renting as well as a small restaurant. |
