Successive to the beach of EOT , in front of the homonymous tourist resort, it is found the beach of Amnissos, part of the some kilometres long and wide beach within the bay of Heraklion, at a distance of 9 kilometres far from the city and the airport, at the East. It is a sandy beach open to the North and thus affectec by the northern winds.

Fully organised and very close to Heraklion, the beach offers full accommodation facilities in many hotels of any kind and category, food and drink in several fish taverns, restaurants, beach bars and cafes. Facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sunbeds, umbrellas, showers), safety (lifeguards) and sea sports are also available on the beach.
